Principal Investigator: Elizabeth Thom, Ph.D.
The Biostatistics Center serves as the Data Coordinating Center for MOMS2, the follow-up to the Management Of Myelomeningocele (MOMS) (a multi-center randomized clinical trial comparing prenatal closure of myelomeningocele defects with the standard closures after birth) will attend one visit when the child is of school age (5-9 years old).
The three participating medical institutions that participated in MOMS will be participating in the follow-up phase: The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the University of California at San Francisco are again participating. Follow-up visits will begin in Spring 2012. The primary outcome is the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale. Funded by NICHD U01-HD068540, 2011-2016.)
