NON-INVASIVE ANEUPLOIDY TESTING UTILIZING SNPS TRIAL (PRENATUS)

Principal Investigator:  Rebecca Clifton, Ph.D.

The Biostatistics Center serves as the Data Coordinating Center for Prenatal Non-invasive Aneuploidy Testing Utilizing SNPs Study (PreNATUS). The goals of this multi-center observational study in high risk women are to 1) determine the diagnostic capability of the non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT) developed by Natera to detect trisomies 13, 18 and 21, 2) determine the diagnostic capability of the NIPT to detect triploidy and sex aneuploidies, 3) determine the diagnostic capability of the NIPT combined with first trimester screening (serum and nuchal translucency) to detect trisomies 13, 18 and 21, and 4) determine the failure rate of the NIPT. This study is funded by Natera (2011-2014).)
